  • **THE HISTORY OF CANDYLAND**
CANDYLAND was opened on March 11, 1998 by Bobo, with the assistance of Jellybean and TeaCup. For three years prior to creating Candyland, Bobo had been on serveral different talkers as a user and a "Wiz". During this time, Bobo saw that there was a need for a different talker, one where all people were treated equally and that was designed with the "USER" being the most important person at the talker. He felt that the nature of the talker should be light hearted and what could be sweeter or more appealing to the child in us all than a world full of candy.

The talker was then run by Marby and Bobo for quite some time, after which it was joined in management by Finno and Monica. In February 2005, due to time commitments and other life requirements, the talker was given to Lollipop and Ribbon to be run and they continue to uphold the Candyland tradition today.

    **What is this Talker About?**
This is a place to come and socialize without harassment. People from all over the world are welcome here. You will see that each person has a different "voice" in the words that appear on your screen and all voices are welcome here. What you see are words on a screen. There is no race, there is no age, there is no sex or sexuality in the words unless you make them so. Words can have a powerful connotation in how they are used, so use your words wisely.

The CANDYLAND talker is for adults. A user must be at least 18 years old to be in any of the main or public rooms. This talker is accessable to all of the internet, with no parental controls built in. Although the Owners and Management of Candyland take every precaution to ensure that the users who visit here are honest and wholesome, we would not ever want to risk the safety of a child. Therefore we require that users be consenting adults, capable of making wise and sound decisions.
